You all know the boring school photos that your children bring home with them, right? The ugly blue background, the fake smile, the torture. I have a solution that will take these out of your life forever – never to be framed on your wall again. Once a year, right before school starts, I offer back to school portraits to take the place of the photos your kids get at school. The session is a quick 15 minutes and gives you a more interesting, more customized way to document the new school year. Mason is home schooled and his mom had forgotten about school photos last year and didn’t want to be missing a photo of her son – so she brought him in for a quick session to capture his 12th year. He is such a genuine, sweet person and I was so glad to meet him and capture such a natural, wonderful portrait of him. I am so grateful for all the wonderful little kids I get to hang out with and photograph. They add so much happiness to my life! Little Miss Bella Bliss is the cutest, most adorable little friend I have made along the way. She has the biggest personality and the biggest heart! I just love her. Not to mention her wonderful parents who have become my great friends. Can you feel the love? For this session, we went out to Sacramento’s own lovely botanical gardens. Business portraits are a great way to show off the best side of yourself on your website, blog, facebook, twitter, business cards, brochures, etc etc. If you are using an outdated or unprofessional photo for any of these things, you may want to consider making the investment in a new professional photo. Your photo will be custom to you and your profession. It can be as formal or as informal as you would like. I recently photographed Amber of California’s Ocean Protection Council, who recently gave a speech in Santa Cruz and needed and updated photo for the promotional materials for the event as well as a new photo for her website. She’s an amazing woman and we had a great time down at the Capitol building capturing her beautiful photos.
It’s that time again! If your child has suddenly become a senior in high school and time has gotten away from you, call as soon as possible to get them in for their custom senior portrait session. Sessions are available at my studio, on location, or both. I’m also beginning my senior model search. If your child is a junior in high school and would like to represent my studio as a senior model – contact me for an application to get started.
