I don’t think these girls could be any cuter!  And look at how close they are!  I could barely get them to separate to do individual photos.  I didn’t have a sister growing up, but I was really close to my brother.  It was so great to have someone to hang out with and I just remember having so much fun together.  I don’t think we were ever apart. I could see the same sort of relationship with these girls.  It was so much fun for me to watch them do the same sorts of things my brother and I used to do – whispering to each other, giggling, making up games, chasing each other.  I just let them run around and be themselves and tried to capture their personalities.

Awwww!  Look at these little girls!  They were only about 5 pounds at the time we took the photos even though they were about 1 month old.  They are so precious and tiny.  I’ve always been fascinated with twins and wished that I had a twin when I was growing up.  I think the bond they have is so amazing and unique.  I honestly don’t know how parents do it though!  Even with mom and dad there to take care of them it was still a challenge.  Being a parent is definitely the hardest job on earth and I give so much respect to them.  Hopefully it has gotten a little easier as they have gotten a little older.

I’m so excited for Nina!  It’s been a great 5 years at Sac State but Nina is ready for the real world!  She graduates the end of this month with a degree in Recreational Studies and leaves to volunteer in Bahrain this summer.  It sounds like so much fun and I’m sure she’ll have a blast.

Speaking of fun…  We had such a great time at her photo shoot.  Nina is such a fun and energetic girl.  She just has a great spirit about her.  I think it definitely shines through in her photos.  She looks so beautiful!

These two are such a beautiful couple!  We went out to old Auburn and had so much fun wandering around looking for interesting spots to stop and shoot.  We ended up at the old state capitol building thanks to a very nice police officer who suggested it to us and gave us directions.  When he stopped and rolled down his window we thought we were in trouble for sure.  Who knew?  Anyway, their wedding is in June and I can’t wait!  Here are their engagement portraits…

heading up to washington!

April 14, 2010

Hi all!  I’m heading up to Washington to photograph a wedding in Seattle and then I’m going to Spokane for a short visit.  While I’m in Spokane I’ll be doing a day of mini sessions out in a beautiful field of tall grass.  The session lasts about 15 minutes and includes an 8×10, 8 wallets and a facebook file.  I’m really excited about this and I know the photos are going to be so cute.  I have tons of ideas!

Space is limited so call to book your session as soon as possible!

This is one of my beautiful photographer friends, Rebekah.  I am so jealous of this girl’s skin!  It’s amazing.  We got together recently to finally take professional headshots for each other.  She can be thanked for my headshot featured in the bio of this blog.  She did a great job making me look pretty and I just want to give her a shout out.  Thanks Rebekah!  I also have to give a big, huge thanks to our make-up artist, Brenda Azevedo.  She did such an awesome job!  She has her own line of make-up products called Just B Cosmetics and I can honestly say that I am addicted to the lip gloss she gave me.  So, thanks ladies!  Here’s Rebekah…

I am so happy for these two!  They got married last week in Old Sacramento on the Delta King - such a cool location!  They are so obviously in love and so obviously right for each other.  While I was going through their photos and making this slideshow, I couldn’t help but to smile.  They are so funny and sweet and kind.  I really enjoyed spending their wonderful day with them and now I hope they enjoy reliving that day through this slideshow.

I went on a road trip this summer to visit all my favorite people in Washington.  My first stop was Seattle to visit my friend, Gwynne and her fiance, Erik.  While I was there, I got to take some beautiful engagement photos of them while also seeing the best parts of Seattle.   They weren’t exactly engaged yet, but we saw it coming from a mile away.  Anyone who spends any time with them can see that they were meant to be.

Our first stop was Green Lake (where they had their first date) which is a beautiful place tucked into a quiet little neighborhood.  Then we headed downtown so I could see the space needle and so we could take some fabulous photos of them outside of the gorgeous Science Fiction Museum - another fabulous piece of architure designed by Frank Gehry.  Amazing place!  If you ever get to Seattle I would recommend going to see it.  Our last stop, but most important, was to the famous Fremont Troll.  You may have never heard of it, but if you are in Seattle it is famous.  Trust me.
